Plex, has a channel on Roku, has an Mac application, even for Android and Windows, but we do not need them since both Android and Windows already have DLNA. Windows has DLNA built in, so you can stream it to any DLNA capable device such as SmartTVs, tablets, gaming consoles, smartphones, etc. But I also have a Dell XPS with Windows on it. I love that I can send and then control multiple streaming media to various destinations throughout my house, so that everyone is happy, and I remain in control.I have a Mac which is my primary computer. Other than that, ArkMC Pro is absolutely amazing. As I selected STOP, it took almost a minute for the streaming to stop. While I was streaming some photos to my TV, I wanted to stop the slideshow and show the previous photo. The only small snafu with the app is that the controls sometime take a while to kick in. It’s also a blessing if you have a show that’s in English, and you want to show it in another language. It supports multiple languages, as well, so you can view a variety of international videos and get the benefit of translation. What is especially nice about ArkMC, is that you can turn on subtitles. With an in app purchase, the officially licensed Dolby Digital Plus Surround Sound (AC3 Decoder) is available, making the sound superb. If you know you will be out of town or out of the range of WiFi, and you want to catch up on your show that you have on your iPhone or iPad, simply download them to the app’s Document folder, and voila, you can watch them offline!ĪrkMC‘s powerful media player supports the more popular media formats: 3GP, MP4, AVI, WMV, ASF, MKV, MPG/MPEG, TS, M2TS, VOB, FLV, MOV, and M4V, so you know you are covered.
